We went in looking for a smart watch for my dad the day we were flying home ( which they new ) he pointed out the Apple Watch series 2 we purchased and we asked if it can connect to Samsungs, without hesitation the Man said 'yes of course' multiple times as we were unsure and kept asking. We got home and tried to connect it and it does not work to Samsung. He knew we were flying home the day of purchase so couldn't take it back and sold us it based on complete lies, they are scam artists!!!
