- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆January 11, 2020, by Paula BWorst Pharmacy Experience EVER! my mother in law (MIL) had a prescription for her blood pressure medicine at this location. She was told her prescription was ready. Upon arrival, there was no prescription ready and was told she would receive a call back when it was ready. Over a week later, she still had not received a phone call. My husband and i asked her to call again to see if her prescription was ready. We had the pharmacy on speaker and my MIL was told her prescription would be ready in an hour and she could pick it up. My husband and I went to the pharmacy to pick up her medication. When we arrived, we were told they did not have her prescription in stock and did not know when it would be filled. We asked to speak to the pharmacist and store manager. The store manager did nothing but stare at us with an inappropriate smile on her face and stated that our call must have gone to a Walgreen's call center. The pharmacist at least apologized but still no prescription was able to be filled. At first we were told she should call her doctor to see if the doctor could prescribe her a different medication. This was not an option or an acceptable resolution as my MIL was scheduled for surgery the next week and would not be able to try out new blood pressure medicine. We went to the closest CVS pharmacy and had her prescription transferred. Upon arrival at the CVS, we were told they would be able to fill the prescription this time but the medicine prescribed was being discontinued and CVS would not be receiving anymore. Why would Walgreen's not know to tell us the same thing?!!!! This is inexcusable for a pharmacy. When we called Walgreen's to ask about transferring the prescription, one of the pharmacy techs we encountered answered the phone and the call obviously did not go to a call center. When my husband asked for the prescription to be faxed over to CVS, the pharmacy tech hung up on him. This pharmacy should be shut down.
- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆August 04, 2019, by Britney PriceThe ONLY reason I'm giving even one star is because it's the lowest you can go. We've had numerous issues with walgreens as a whole. One nearly costing my daughter her life after the pharmacist miss dialed her emergency seizure med to double the dose. Thankfully I am very careful when it comes to my babies and I triple check everything and caught it before using it. This particular issue, the one that has led to me giving a review, is just the last straw in a long series of blatant laziness and ignorance on the part of the pharmacists and workers. I call yesterday to have my son's prescriptions transferred from walgreens to walmart. The walgreens pharmacist told me I needed to have walmart call to do the transfer, no big deal. I call walmart and explain everything. They tell me it should be ready by the evening. I go by there that evening only to be told walgreens isn't responding or answering to do the transfer so they couldn't do it. By the time I got ahold of walgreens, walmart was closed. The pharmacist at Walgreens told me no one contacted her, which is a complete lie seeing as how the pharmacist at walmart showed me the fax they sent over. All the while my 10 year old son is suffering from a migraine and desperately needs his meds. Then, this morning I call walmart back to see if they happened to get the transfer done. I was told yet again that walgreens isn't responding. I call walgreens back and explain the situation and ask why they aren't doing the transfer. I was told again that no one contacted them which was a lie. I then asked the pharmacist, Lilly, if she would call walmart herself and do the transfer but was told they don't do that and that was not their protocol because it would be too confusing. How calling a store directly and asking for the pharmacist is confusing, is beyond me. Now, having to call a number and being directed to a call center before being directed to a store, that's confusing. I then ask for her managers name because I knew she was lying and she tells me to call the 1800 number. I ask her again for the name of her manager and was told his name was Asher and he might be in next week. Thankfully the pharmacist at walmart was persistent and continued to call non stop so it finally got transferred but it shouldn't have been this difficult. I've spoken to a few other walgreens pharmacists that have all told me the same thing, they can call other pharmacies to make transfers. Which only proves she is lying. I have filed a complaint with the corporate office and will be filing one with her manager as well. I'm sick and tired of these snotty, lazy pharmacists that think they can do as they please. We've also contacted the attorney general to file a complaint. My babyb boy shouldn't have to suffer because of some pharmacists incompetence. This isn't over.
